Garmin Privacy Analyst in Olathe, Kansas

If you have a passion for using data responsibly and helping others do the same, this is the job for you!\n\nWe are looking for a full-time Compliance Analyst 2 (Data Privacy) to join our global Data Privacy team at Garmin’s headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. We are looking for a passionate individual to conduct privacy assessments and lead compliance reviews for all parts of Garmin’s global business, as well as help grow and shape Garmin’s privacy program for the future.\n\nInterested? Essential functions of this role include:\n\n\n\tConduct privacy impact assessments, DPIAs, and 3rd party reviews\n\tMaintain records of compliance, including records of processing\n\tParticipate in gap assessments and development of compliance plans for new regulations\n\tDesign, implement, and further develop procedures, policies, and awareness campaigns to ensure compliance with current international, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements\n\tPerform audits of Garmin’s compliance with our established privacy policies, standards, and industry frameworks\n\tDocument and refine compliance objectives, current business processes, and audit testing procedures\n Qualified candidates must have:\n\n\n\tHave a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field\n\tPossess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or possess one or more of the following certifications: CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional), CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)\n\tHave a working understanding of common data privacy principles such as data minimization, privacy by design, consent, and data subject rights\n\tSupport team members, peers, and other Garmin associates by actively seeking feedback, building networks, sharing successes, tools, and knowledge\n\n\nDesirable qualifications for this role include:\n\n\n\tExperience designing and/or maintaining compliance programs and controls for privacy regulations and frameworks such as the GDPR, CCPA, or NIST Privacy Framework\n\tA functional understanding of IOT, website, or mobile app technology, architecture, and security\n\tAn ability to influence without direct control and/or authority\n\tA proven track record in effective and timely project management\n\tAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging environment\n\tEffective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\n\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
