Garmin Global Transportation Analyst in Olathe, Kansas

We’re looking for a global transportation analyst 1 to execute daily functions and standard processes, compile analysis and reports, and assist with projects contributing to transportation operations, such as carrier management, analysis and procurement, metrics and reporting and systems development. Must be able to perform accurate cost and service comparisons, monitor daily carrier reports to proactively track shipment progression and address potential issues and perform methodical audits of transportation invoices across all modes and providers to ensure adherence to contract rates and requirements.We’re seeking for a full-time global transportation analyst 1 at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas to process and file transportation claims in a timely and effective manner. In this role, you’ll also be responsible for updating systems with cost, transit, and service standards and communicate to applicable parties. Other essential functions include: Monitor daily carrier reports to proactively track shipment progression and address potential issues.Perform methodical audit of transportation invoices across all modes and providers to ensure adherence to contract rates and requirements.Respond, resolve, and coordinate requests to support basic shipment facilitation (package intercepts, undeliverable coordination, 3rd party collections arrangement, label and BOL generation, coordination with shipping, etc.) through contact with both internal customers and external partners.Prepare, maintain, and distribute metrics and reports to global stakeholders to facilitate monitoring and management of volume, cost, performance, and organizational shipping behavior.Document processes, identify and escalate process or systems gaps, and suggest and implement improvements to processes and systems.Leverage technology and maintain automated systems for effective management and control of department activity to minimize manual recordkeeping.Collaborate with team members, internal customers, and external partners to achieve successful completion of duties.Due to the amount of resources and expense exhausted in training for this position, a minimum of one year from the start of this position will be required before an associate is eligible for a job transfer. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the disciplines of Business Administration, Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field with a passion for transportation and demonstrate strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
