Garmin Aviation Product Support Specialist (10 AM - 7 PM) in Olathe, Kansas

* Please note that the shift for this position is Monday through Friday, 10:00AM to 7:00PM*\n\nWe are seeking a full-time Aviation Product Support Specialist 1 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing basic-to-moderately complex product support on Garmin aviation products, to include technical and sales support and other customer service related actions. \n\nEssential Functions \n\n\n\tReceive, answer and take ownership of customer technical inquiries regarding products, software applications, orders, pricing, and other services offered for Garmin aviation products via telephone, letters and electronic mail while maintaining company image\n\tDevelop extensive expertise on the specifications, capabilities and operation of all Garmin aviation products within various airspace systems around the world\n\tRemain current on changes in policies, procedures, and product offerings\n\tProvide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques and report all issues affecting customer satisfaction\n\tIdentify and recommend improvements in Garmin products, documentation, and procedures as well as monitor, document and report failure trends in Garmin equipment\n\tReview special circumstances and authorize warranty service when deemed appropriate\n\tProvide operational support for Garmin’s aviation products, including detailed support of the full ranges of operation in the National Airspace System (VFR & IFR)\n\tProvide guidance on regulatory topics concerning various equipment and aircraft operations under 14 CFR Parts 91, 91-K, 135, and 121\n\tProvide aviation database update support for Garmin portable and panel mounted aviation products\n\tEnsure all customer (OEM) information and Garmin business information is maintained in strict confidence \n Basic Qualifications \n\n\n\tHigh school diploma or GED AND a minimum of 1 year customer service experience\n\tDemonstrated interest in Aviation and desire to attain pilot ratings \n\tDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems\n\tDemonstrated proficiency in operating/troubleshooting Windows operating systems and skill in data entry\n\n\nDesired Qualifications \n\n\n\tPrivate Pilot License and/or advanced pilot ratings\n\tAviation Electronics background\n\tAviation maintenance experience\n\tProficiency in using and troubleshooting Macintosh operation systems\n\tAircrew member\n\n\n \n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
