We are looking for a Solutions Manager within this newly formed, and fast growing, group. In this position you will be handling product and engineering requests, working closely with other partners across the organization to ensure that requirements and agreed solutions meet the strategic criteria, as well as supporting the development teams in the sizing and costing efforts.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Handle the pipeline of incoming requests from across product, proposition and engineering

  • Review and confirm requirements are complete and fit for purpose with relevant partners

  • Manage the intake process, by working with partners to ensure the right solutions is detailed and agreed and can be sized, costed and prioritized

  • Ensure ongoing alignment with the Enterprise Architecture team to identify new capability demands that are not on the roadmap, to ensure strategic direction is not compromised

  • Ensure work agreed is scheduled to complete the delivery of E2E use case/solution and formal handover to the PMO and Delivery teams take place, with all relevant partners

  • Support the delivery by ensuring the information assembled as part of the intake is used to help manage forward planning for resources

  • Support the forward planning of all requests in annual cycle when required

  • Support the intake of material changes of work that need to be resized and rescheduled across the development teams

  • Ensure all relevant partners are actively engaged throughout the process until completion and handover

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

  • Inventive and able to extrapolate key understandings from requirements to drive the intake process in the right direction and context

  • Attention to detail when required

  • Can work independently with partners and ensure outcome can be reached in a timely manner

  • Be able to identify and gauge vitality and prioritize requests to ensure a good outcome

  • Strong partner management and influencing skills

  • Strong and confident social skills, able to build close relationships and interact with colleagues at various levels – including prior experience in supporting C-level executives

  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to translate vision and strategy into clear priorities and direction

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities with partners both internally and externally in a professional manner

  • Creativity and innovation: Continuously maintain an innovative demeanor whist operating with a set of defined internal and external processes

  • Experience in managing people and processes in a sophisticated environment.

  • Clear problem solver

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Strong team building skills

Desired Skills/Experience Required:

  • Must have experience working in a financial information technology environment (i.e. Financial Services, FinTech, Investment Management, etc)

  • Must have some project management or delivery experience – preferably within a Lean/Agile Environment (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc)

  • Experience in managing demand and capacity desirable

  • Experience in business analysis desirable (ability to build, analyse and challenge Business Cases would be an asset)

  • Experience in Product Management / Product Ownership within an Agile Environment is highly desirable

Education/ Certifications:

  • Ideally degree level qualified in a STEM subject (or similar numerate/technology field i.e. Accounting, Finance, Business)

  • Relevant analysis certification (i.e. Practitioner or Professional, or higher level, Certification in Agile Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, Business Architecture

  • or similar)

  • Any Cloud certifications (i.e. AWS Professional) would be particularly welcome
