CVS Health Trade Operations Director in Northbrook, Illinois

This role will be a key leader across Pharmaceutical Contracting and Purchasing department, supporting key negotiations, annual processes and defining/executing new processes that drive significant value across CVS Health.As the Director, you will assume a highly visible role on the Trade Operations team that drives strategic initiatives and operational execution in support of several cross-functional workstreams. As the pharmacy benefit landscape changes with new high-cost therapies, increasing pressure to reduce pharmacy costs and the evolving policy landscape, the right person for this role is a highly motivated, forward-thinker who can identify opportunities and sort out root causes of issues while leveraging matrix partners to develop and execute innovative strategies effectively and efficiently. Your strategic vision, critical thinking, and creativity will aid in your success. You will develop new processes while innovating and optimizing existing ones, across key areas of Trade. Some examples might include performance-based agreements, 340B, formulary placement of products, contracting optimization, cost/benefit analyses, and other tools/areas to deliver actionable insights to Ops Leadership and the broader Trade organization. You will be responsible for working with cross-functional partners to manage identify areas of improvement across Trade and lead highly visible workstreams to optimize and build applications designed to streamline all areas of workflow. The Director will also manage documentation of process maps, new guiding principles, options analyses as needed, as well as providing recommendations on tools to support process improvement initiatives. To be successful, you will utilize your ability to create and manage effective tools to drive efficient operations, as well as your experience coordinating across cross-functional teams with the ability to identify critical issues. You will need to be an excellent communicator, and able to create decks and presentations for an executive-level audiences, as well as being able to present without materials as needed.**Will consider 100% remote from anywhere in the US. Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.• 6+ years of experience leading large, cross-functional projects within healthcare/PBM, account services, customer service, or related industry• Strong functional capabilities using Microsoft applications of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managed care which may include PBM, Pharma, market access, account management, specialty pharmacy, or health plan experience• Comfort and familiarity working with data• Experience leading process improvement exercises • Exposure and/or knowledge of the evolving regulatory environment• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturers, manufacturing processes, or pharmacy in general


• Bachelor's Degree required
