National Grid is hiring a Program Manager, Reliability Compliance and Policy for our department in NY or MA.

Job Purpose

Reliability Compliance is responsible for ensuring National Grid’s compliance with NERC Reliability Standards, NPCC, and ISO requirements. By ensuring the fulfillment of the regulatory obligations under which our business activities are conducted, we help enable the reliability, resiliency, and security of the Bulk Electric System.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare Incident Analysis (IA) reports, compliance assessments, and develop Internal Controls for NERC Reliability Standards

  • Support planning and development of audit deliverables

  • Engage with regulators, peer utilities, and industry organizations

  • Lead discussions to support internal stakeholders

  • Support ad hoc initiatives for process improvement and development of the Reliability Compliance program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience or 5+ years of related work experience

  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative, integrity and ability to interact with company personnel, consultants, and/or regulatory representatives in a positive, collaborative manner

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under time constraints.

  • Ability to create a team climate where team members can discuss relevant issues freely and where there is a strong emphasis on continuous improvement

  • Skills in: project/program management, stakeholder engagement, presentation, interpersonal, oral & written communication, critical analysis, capable of leading and influencing teams preferred

  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

More Information

Massachusetts - Salary - $102,000 - $120,000

Downstate NY - Salary - $110,000 - $129,000

UpState NY - Salary - $91,000 - $107,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
