Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you’ll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.
About the Position
As an Associate Scheduler, you will be part of a close-knit team that coordinates scheduling availability and resources for our internal stakeholders. Work performed by this team is relied upon by our Electric and Gas businesses for both scheduled work and unscheduled emergency work. You will also monitor reporting that impacts pay within the company to avoid errors and impact downstream processes.
This is a hybrid role (2 days a week spent in Northboro, MA and 1 day a week spent traveling to various local National Grid work sites).
What You’ll Do
For this role, you will:
Use Excel and other scheduling programs in a high volume fast paced environment.
Understand changes to regulatory and bargaining agreement rules and implement change to Resource Management practices as needed.
Adjust and maintain schedules that are used to assign work and respond to emergencies.
Run reports for internal stakeholders to ensure proper staffing levels and to submit accurate time coding for workers.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to drive consistency, share best practices, and do our part to plan the resources effectively to deliver on projects.
Continuously identify and communicate process improvements.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025
Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025
Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

Salary Range
Northboro, MA $60,350 - $71,000 a year
Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont. As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
