Merck Global Marketing Early Development Co-Op in North Wales, Pennsylvania

Job Description

The Future Talent Program features co-operative assignments that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Human Health Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The organization is comprised of sales and marketing professionals who are passionate about their role in bringing our company's prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to our customers worldwide.

This co-op will work closely with the global marketing early development team and its partners (Research & Development Division, Human Health Division key 6 country affiliates, global marketing franchises and key departments, etc) to provide strategic insight into customer needs (patients, individuals, health care practitioners, payers, governments, policy makers, patient advocates, etc) as well as effectively drive the integration of commercial considerations into early product development and pre-launch planning. Additionally this role interfaces with Business Development & Licensing teams, to contribute to the value assessment of external pipeline compounds.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a BS or BA in Science or Marketing

  • Candidates working toward MBA in marketing are preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate Innovative thinking

  • Candidates must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to promote/sell ideas

  • Candidates must have the ability to solve complex problems

  • Candidates must have strong strategic thinking and analytical skills

  • Candidates must have demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethics
