Cerner Manager, Accounting in North Kansas City, Missouri
As an Accounting Manager, you will work across Cerner’s revenue portfolio analyzing financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures as applicable. You will review stand-alone selling price and variable consideration estimates. You will collaborate with department leadership to review internal accounting processes and controls, identify and recommend process improvements or system enhancements, assess audit risks, and support the external audit process as applicable. Leveraging your strong analytical skills, you will partner with business leaders to interpret financial reporting and business trends to assist key decision makers in forming an objective view of operations, results and opportunities. Leveraging your management skills, you will lead, direct, and review the team’s goals and work to achieve operational or functional objectives, delivering consistent training, guidance, and feedback to promote associate success. You will lead month-, quarter- and year-end close processes, providing overall process leadership, communication and reporting across the team.

At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
2 years of finance and/or accounting work experience
6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the job including
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration; or related field; or equivalent, relevant work experience

Must reside in or be located in the Kansas City area
