The position of Senior Financial Analyst is a great opportunity to join the FP&A team within the Power Tools and Lifting SBU. The FP&A team coordinates and delivers insights to support forecasting, strategic decisions and financial operations. This candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to work with the Director of FP&A to improve SBU profitability through analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This role will leverage core competencies in corporate finance, accounting, and data analytics. The ideal candidate should be passionate about continuous improvement and concise analysis.
Responsibilities
Consolidate the monthly forecast from the regions and provide insight and commentary regarding changes to the forecast versus prior forecast and AOP. Own the mid-month forecast update process providing consolidation, bridging, and summarized commentary for management.
Identify areas of improvement for the business by interpreting financial and operational metrics providing recommendations of risks, opportunities, corrective actions and focus areas to address performance issues.
Assist in planning for and developing standard processes for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast cycles.
Assist with loading of financial and statistical data into Hyperion.
Prepare reporting and presentation slides for the Monthly Business Review and the internal Monthly Operating Review.
Prepare standard monthly reporting to include but not limited to: Product/margin reporting, cost center reporting, and headcount reporting with a focus on automation.
Key stakeholder in providing data for SBU IDM and corporate reporting to include weekly sales/orders reporting, pulses, etc.
SG&A reporting and analysis with a focus on incentive compensation, open PO's, and forecast/budget variances.
Support and engage in analytics projects to automate reporting sourced from the IR Data Lake.
Assist with the monthly close process, which may include preparation of journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely financial results with the ability to drive process improvement.
Partner with, but not limited to, PTL GM, VP Marketing & Aftermarket, VP Finance, VP Product Management, and various Finance teams.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years+ of finance related experience and manufacturing experience a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
Experience with Microsoft Suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint required.
Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and Oracle preferred.
Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management and business partnership skills required.
Ability to work effectively in a Matrix organization.
Must be energetic, forward thinking, and creative.
Must be detail-oriented and deadline sensitive.
