Pearson Royalty Operations & Accounting Assistant in Noida, India

About the Position:

The Royalty Operations & Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operations and accounting functions related to royalty payments processing for customers across the globe – US, UK, Canada, APAC, and other European regions. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The primary responsibilities include assisting in royalty calculations, performing payments reconciliation, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Royalty Calculations: Assist in the calculation of royalties owed to licensors, authors, or other stakeholders based on contractual agreements and sales data. Ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

  2. Payment Matching: Coordinate the timely and accurate processing of royalty payments reconciliation. This includes extensive research of invoices generated, identifying transaction type, and reconciling payments with accounting records.

  3. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and organized records of royalty agreements, sales data, payment transactions, and related documentation. Update databases and spreadsheets regularly to track royalty statements reported by Licensee.

  4. Communication: Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to royalty statements from internal departments, licensors, or other external parties. Provide timely and accurate responses to queries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 0-2 years of experience in royalty accounting, finance, or related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform calculations accurately.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
