We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Java DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions across the entire software development lifecycle. You will also be involved in implementing and managing DevOps practices to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a strong and dynamic technical individual to build and maintain a highly scalable platform. Hands-on experience is a must.

  • Maintaining the infra on VMware and software state using Puppet Enterprise.

  • Maintaining the cloud infra on AWS using Terraform.

  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

  • Operational support for cloud infrastructure including incident response and maintenance.

  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage

  • Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

  • Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.

  • Responsible for consulting with owners and support teams to define, develop, coordinate, and manage disaster recovery plans.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology and has a passion for building scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Excellent knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, such as GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Terraform, etc.

  • Experience with AWS cloud platforms.

  • Exp range - 6+ years

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, and Python.

  • A strong background interfacing with multiple groups; ability to coordinate effectively, multi-task, and manage pressure.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the software development lifecycle.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Management requirements:

Strong inter-personal skills required. Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Personal Competencies:

  • Ability to work with remote team in a geographically distributed development model.

  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

  • Enthusiastic about technology and has a passion for high quality of deliverables.

Communication

Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of development best practices are critical to successful performance in this role

Teamwork

Ability to collaborate in a team environment. Experience in Agile development methodology is preferred.
