The Opportunity:
Pearson is looking for a Deputy Manager – Marketing for the Higher Education market, who will:
Understand market trends and competitors to better plan and lead Social Media marketing among the right audience
Create Brand and product communication across different owned and earned platforms working with in-house team or external agency
Bring new ideas and innovative approaches to digital experiences to drive growth and conversion
Lead the execution of marketing programs for social and blogs from start to finish
Manage relationship and ensure timely delivery of project related asks with external agency
Ensure that the external communication is in line with the brand voice
Ensure alignment with global brand vision whilst maintaining local relevance
Work with a diverse team and manage stakeholders – both internal and external
Analyse the performance using social media analytics platforms and offer insights
Measure & track KPIs in sync with business objectives
Stay up-to-date on social media trends and innovations to ensure we are creating timely and effective content and marketing strategies
Core responsibilities in this role:
Business
Drive impressions and engagement through high-quality content
Develop and maintain calendars for social media and other content related initiatives
Timely delivery of campaigns, events and daily activities
Ideal Experience:
Brings minimum of 3+ years of social media management, content creation, or digital marketing experience from diverse consumer sub-sectors
Experience in Education would be helpful but is not necessary. A passion for Education is essential.
Experience using social media analytics tools to track metrics and inform content creation and strategy
Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Be an empathetic & authentic team player and yet strong enough to “stand up” for his/her views.
