Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.
This Opportunity:
Role : Personal Support Worker (PSW)/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide (Part-Time)
Location : Niagara Region (St. Catharines, Thorold, Lincoln, Vineland, Beamsville, Grimsby, etc.)
Compensation :
Starting wage: $22.52/hour (includes $3/hour Ontario government temporary wage enhancement for direct client support).
Paid travel time and mileage.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with non-medical daily living activities, including:
Personal care, grooming, and dressing.
Rising and retiring.
Incontinence care (training provided).
Meal preparation and feeding.
Range of motion exercises.
Light housekeeping.
Lifts and transfers (training provided).
Maintain professionalism and respect for clients' dignity and privacy.
Ensure the health and safety of clients and staff.
Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, across the Niagara Region.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with individuals with disabilities, older adults, or caregiving is an asset (not required).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required .
Physical self-assessment required upon hire.
