Full-Time Position: PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide - Niagara Region (Central OAS: St. Catharines, Thorold, Grimsby, Niagara-on-the-Lake)

Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible. This Opportunity
We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time Position as a PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide in the Niagara Region. Starting wage is $19.52 per hour , with paid travel time and mileage. This position is eligible for the $3.00 per hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.
Duties include:
Assisting clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living, in accordance with individual service plans and MODC policies:
Personal care
Dressing and grooming
Rising/retiring
Incontinence care (with training)
Meal preparation and feeding
Range of motion exercises
Light housekeeping duties
Lifts and transfers (with training)
Performing duties in a professional manner, respecting dignity and privacy, and maintaining consumer and staff health and safety.
Working multiple shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays) at various locations in the Niagara Region.
Background / Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver is considered an asset but not required
Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physical demands self-analysis required upon hire
Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
