The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Protecting and growing existing platforms such as Powered and Supplied Air system, Disposable and Reusable respirators
Plan, execute and complete prioritised product engineering projects around modification of an existing platform (including design change, raw material substitution and regulation changes)
Understand key product quality characteristics in line with customer requirements (global markets) as well as competitive advantage
Review, analyse and initiate resolution of product performance
Technically lead commercialization activity in relation to assigned product development programs
Develop an extensive global network from our R&D and Regulatory/Product Stewardship Teams to our Supply Chain, Business, Marketing and Application Engineering Teams
Maintain awareness of current Safety policies, European and global Regulatory Affairs, product responsibility, toxicology and environmental issues
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Science based degree level (Bachelor level)
Some demonstrable professional experience ideally within a regulated environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science
Knowledge of respiratory products and markets
Knowledge of non-woven materials
Knowledge of plastic moulding, polymers, 3D CAD, Modelling and Ergonomics
Relocation: Maybe authorised in some circumstances
Role Location: Aycliffe, County Durham

Salary - £high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.
