National Grid Technical Training Planning Lead in Newark, United Kingdom

The Opportunity

Our Global Technical Training Team is growing! We’re looking for a Technical Training Planning Lead to join our Eakring team on a 12-month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Reporting to the UK Technical Training Planning Manager, the Technical Training Planning Lead will be responsible for delivering a customer focused planning process to deliver high quality learning experiences that meet clients technical, regulatory and safety learning needs through a blended learning approach and support the design and development of learning solutions.

You will use problem-solving skills to resolve a high number of non-routine queries. You’ll become a highly experienced user of the LMS and provide support and guidance to lesser experienced colleagues.

This role will also entail supporting the Global Technical Training Learning Support Portal, acting as a Technical Training Planning Lead Subject Matter Expert and responsively answering customer queries generated through the ticketing system.

What You'll Do

• Liaise with the Global Technical Training Team and all other Stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.

• Co-ordinate with all business areas, ensuring compliance, regulatory and safety training is scheduled on-time.

• Support our external MSP processes to ensure all external training is delivered to our business areas and by all other means of communication.

• Handle non-routine tasks and queries.

• Support with LMS access requests and approvals.

• Triage and resolve Learning Portal requests, provide assistance and guidance on the LSP process.

• Provide system support for the Learning Management System (LMS), ensure the accuracy of the LMS data and provide training compliance management information, when requested.

• Generate and analyse reports from LMS data as and when requested to meet customer expectations.

• LMS Item creation and administration

• LMS Assignment Profiles creation and administration

• Monitor and maintain the highest levels of data. Ensuring proactive validation of all system entry including guidance and instruction for non GTT users.

• Provide support to colleagues in times of peak workload, sickness, or holiday.

• Work within and promote the philosophy of safe team working and development across all National Grid activities to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance.

• Support the quality of training process with support for other coordinators, delivery teams and the Quality system.

• Ensure compliance with quality process, and always promote safety, health and security at work whilst ensuring the environmental impacts of activities are minimised wherever possible.

About You

• Competent in the use of desktop packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Access with a high standard of keyboard and numeric skills

• Good analytical skills, with an ability to quickly analyse information and make decisions.

• Data management and presentation

• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP

• Proven competence of handling non-routine queries

• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work accurately whilst still meeting deadlines.

• Competent in providing guidance and instruction to others as required.

• Experience within a quality management and administration function is preferable.

• Wide business/technical knowledge gained through experience.

More Information

• This role is offered on a 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

• This role is a Hybrid role and will be based at our Eakring National Grid Training Centre (Tuesday and Wednesday) and will require a degree of flexibility as per the business needs
