Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Temporary End Date if Temporary: 10/31/2022 Hours Per Week: 10 Salary Range: Position Summary Under the direction of the provider and Principal Investigator, the VHO Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating administrative oversight of existing clinical trial activities within the Department of Dermatology. Collaborating with a variety of institutional and Center-wide teams, as well as performing independently, will be responsible for all participant recruitment, scheduling, and follow-up, Further, the VHO candidate will provide assistance in participant enrollment activities, and administration of study questionnaires and inventory of study supplies. Responsibilities Candidates should anticipate the need for flexible work hours to assist in the attainment of recruitment goals and completion of study requirements Recruitment and follow-up of study participants Organization and maintenance of participant records and case report forms (CRFs) Data entry and cleaning, as well as database creation and maintenance Frequent collaboration and communication with Dermatology Principal Investigator Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and/or experience, plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience Must speak Spanish fluently Preferred Qualifications Research experience preferred Experience with research data entry Other Requirements Flexible hours (shifts between 4:00-7:30 pm and occasionally weekends) are required to meet critical deadlines Excellent phone, interpersonal, and written communication skills Able to multitask in a diverse and demanding environment with frequently shifting priorities Proactive, extremely organized, and detail-oriented Strong record of interpersonal engagement Able to demonstrate the ability to balance both working independently and collaboratively Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion Must successfully complete systems training requirements Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
