Columbia Athletics has positioned itself with elite level coaches and top-notch facilities in the Campbell Sports Complex, Baker Athletics Complex, and Dodge Fitness Center. Assisting the Director of Equipment Operations with laundry and equipment inventory for all 31 teams located at Dodge Physical Fitness Center and Baker Athletic Complex. Nights and weekend hours are required. Responsibilities Assist the Equipment Office Staff with the receiving, inventorying, distribution/collection, and maintenance of all uniforms, apparel, and equipment for all varsity athletic programs and administration in the Athletic Department Responsible for proper laundering or athletic apparel and uniforms for 31 sport programs using appropriate cleaning and safety measures as scheduled including evening and weekend shifts Assist with laundry and equipment services in both Dodge Fitness Center and Baker Athletics Complex Assist with transportation of inventory to/from offsite vendors in a timely manner Maintain appropriate communication with equipment office staff, coaches, and administrators as needed Assist with equipment office gameday operations as requested Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Ivy League Conference, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations and/or Code of Ethics. Provide excellent customer service and may respond to general inquiries as appropriate Work collaboratively within and across the Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education department and University to achieve department goals and objectives. Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education. Minimum Qualifications 0-2 years related experience Bachelor?s Degree and/ or equivalent related experience required Demonstrate clear and concise communication methods Valid Driver?s License Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekends as needed Previous experience in equipment or laundry services is a plus Knowledge of sports equipment and protective gear needs is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
