Responsibilities: The College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School is seeking a highly qualified Temporary Onsite Coordinator to join the Mannes Prep team. Mannes Prep is a K-12 Saturday music school housed within the College of Performing Arts. We are currently seeing one Temporary Onsite Coordinator to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from July 29 – August 9, 2024. The work occurs onsite at Arnhold Hall. There will also be 2-3 hours of remote training and preparation beginning on or around July 15, 2024. Reporting to the Director of Mannes Prep, the Temporary Onsite Coordinator is responsible for supervising and chaperoning summer program students. Salary : $16/hr. Modality: On-site Responsibilities Greeting/Checking in students at the door 8:45-9AM as they are dropped off for classes Assist with classroom management for morning piano class 10AM-Noon. Lunchtime moderator (along with 1-2 other people) to help any students as needed, help run games and activities that we will have for them Assist with classroom management for afternoon chorus class 1-4PM. Afternoon dismissal: dismiss students at the door to an approved parent/guardian Additional responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Deep background in music and the arts At least two years of experience working with children and their families (K-6) Demonstrated commitment to Equity, Inclusion, Social Justice, and the transformative power of the arts and education
