Position Summary The Department of Surgery is looking for Technician A in the Sugahara lab in the Division of GI/Endocrine Surgery. The individual will work closely with Principle Investigator and Post-Doctoral Researchers on research projects focused on novel cancer therapies based on tumor targeting peptides. Responsibilities Under supervision and training, with graduating independence to develop the ability to work in: Mouse handling and husbandry and genotyping Basic molecular and cellular biology Tissue isolation/processing, immunohistochemistry and tissue culture. Data processing and analysis Preparing lab solutions and cultures Other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory, research project or work unit Minimum Qualifications Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program. One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.
