LSEG Technical Product Manager in New York, New York
We are seeking a Product Manager with a strong technical background to join our Thomson ONE Core Services team. This team is passionate about driving the execution of the managing solutions capabilities and improving existing services to meet the demands of changing technologies involved in wealth management users’ content.
In this role you will collaborate with Proposition leads to influence and execute upon short, medium- and long-term product strategy. You'll also partner with Technology leads to incorporate the best architecture approach to deliver against the product strategy. Additionally, you will work across the peer group of Product Managers to understand the respective roadmaps and strategies and how this influences the capability’s strategy and approach.
This is an opportunity to join a multifaceted organization collaborating with many functions and bridging the gap between business and technology. The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle to facilitate and lead the end to end delivery of software projects across a team of diverse professionals around the globe.
Build an execution plan by working with product and proposition teams in articulating product specific requirements
Partner with development, support teams to ensure stability of service, work on new enhancements and prioritize changes accordingly
Create detailed requirements for platform capabilities and manage delivery through close collaboration with various teams
Create, maintain, and publish internal and external product roadmaps and report progress to partners
Take a hands-on approach to evaluating and testing
Develop and execute plans to sunset obsolete product related services
Act as a focal point for product, problem resolution and raising critical issues
Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:
Strong background in Product Management; Can understand and detail end-user workflows and produce accurate Product Requirements, mock-ups, and roadmaps
Consistent track record of launching and supporting software products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to grasp and articulate technical, financial, and conceptual ideas
Outstanding client engagement skills, including ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong project management, analytical, and prioritization skills
Solid understanding of financial markets
Highly collaborative and enjoys working and delivering results through teams
Experience and knowledge of using Agile tools for prioritization and reporting is very helpful
A technology background is a plus
