Position : Talent Partner, US Business

Job Location: Tri-State New York Area, or Remote (open to travel)

Role Value Proposition: This role will help support the integrated talent agenda for MetLife across US Business. The incumbent will be required to know the business and needs in depth, to aid in the development and implementation of strategic talent plans. Will play a key role in building diverse talent pipelines, agile capabilities, and ways of working and driving an energized and inclusive culture across all levels of the organization.

The incumbent will partner with the business and HR leadership team to identify talent priorities and action plans, ensure identification and placement of new talent in key roles, lead organization talent reviews, support in assessment and development of key talent, support lead local culture and change plans, and global diversity and inclusion initiatives.

The individual in this role will provide indirect leadership, influence, and partnership with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Acquisition (TA), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Learning & Development (L&D), Talent Management (TM), Organizational Effectiveness (OE) and People Planning and Insights (PPI), to operationalize this strategy and deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as trusted advisor to business and HR leadership; Bring deep knowledge of talent landscape, with a clear point-of-view on key capabilities and talent

• Apply expertise in talent planning, talent identification and assessment, succession planning, accelerated development and organizational development to deliver tangible outcomes (strong talent pipelines, improved diversity representation, etc.)

• Deliver future-focused solutions for addressing organization/talent needs such as: building capabilities, filling talent gaps, and enhancing culture. Lead implementation of talent priorities; own outcomes

• Provide leadership – both directly and indirectly, as needed – to integrated team with experts from across the talent ecosystem (HRBPs, TA, L&D, OE, DEI, PPI, among others)

• Enable high-performance and an energized inclusive environment

Essential business experience and technical skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting talent management and performance development processes with demonstrated success in applying business knowledge and supporting data to build strategic talent plans

• Ability to understand business drivers, and execute on talent agenda that enables business success

• Strong advisory skills supported by insights on latest trends and practices. Proven experience applying future focused perspectives, to meet the needs of the business. Experience in agile ways of working will be highly valued

• Robust planning, and project management skills, integrating critical components of the talent ecosystem and bringing to life the execution of the strategy

• Ability to establish relationships at all levels throughout the organization and cross-functionally. Able to clearly articulate points of views and influence leadership, setting direction aligned to the overall business

• Experience partnering with leadership, project teams, and other HR partners as well as managing relationships with external subject matter experts

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree in HR discipline and/or Talent Management certifications, preferred
