Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Operations for Professional, Executive, and Graduate Programs (?OPEG?), the incumbent will assume a leadership role re-formulating and implementing the communications and technological strategy for the departments under the oversight of OPEG: Office of Career Services (OCS), Social Justice Initiatives (SJI), Office of Judicial Clerkships (OJC), Office of Graduate Degree Programs (OGP), and Executive Education. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all recruiting and student engagement databases used by students, staff, and employers, including, but not limited to, Symplicity, FloRecruit, and CampusGroups, and will act as a liaison between the Law School?s IT Department, Communications department, other student service offices, as well as outside vendors and application developers. In the near-term, the incumbent will also work with Director of Career Advising and Professional Development in OCS, manage the OCS website and write, design, source and edit content for OCS?s online portals. The incumbent will also work closely with other OPEG Officers and the Law School?s Communications and Information Technology departments on various projects and initiatives. Responsibilities Manage Symplicity, the key recruiting database used by OCS, SJI, OGP, OJC, and SJI. Duties include: technological administration of all on-campus interview programs and off-campus job fairs (lotteries, student and employer schedules, student bidding, data upload during student recruiting programs, class updates, etc.); generation of statistical reports and surveys related to bidding activities, interview scheduling, employment outcomes and employer engagement; creation of processes to analyze student and employer use of Symplicity; acting as the primary liaison between CLS and Symplicity representatives to resolve database issues and implement new initiatives or functions. Onboard and train staff, students and employers in the use of software utilized by our teams, including Symplicity, FloRecruit, and CampusGroups. Respond to support requests from staff, students, alumni and employers concerning software and websites. Manage and update the OCS website and Courseworks. This includes: updating or creating a communications plan; sourcing, writing, designing, and/or editing content for the OCS website and courses; monitoring daily and weekly blogs and other online publications from main-stream media, law firm, private sector practitioners, bar associations, industry organizations, etc.); research and advise on topics and campaigns or messaging to enhance/expand the reach of OCS among applicants, students, alumni, employers and other key constituents. Identify, design, implement, and oversee potential new applications of the systems currently in place, and develop strategic plans for improved leveraging of these systems. Endeavor to minimize ?system proliferation? with the aim of creating a seamless and efficient user experience for our students and staff. Manage the digital recording of mock interviews, videoconference interviews, Zoom, Skype and other individualized media services and upload all recordings on appropriate platforms for student and alumni use. Act as primary technological liaison between OPEG and the Law School?s IT Department, Communications department, other student service offices, as well as outside vendors and application developers. Manage the purchasing and maintenance of information resources, including all print and web-based publications and research software for OCS and for other OPEG offices as needed. Research and recommend the implementation of technological innovations that may enhance the efficiency of OPEG. Performs other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree and three to five years of relevant experience required. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of HTML and Excel strongly preferred. An understanding of web publishing and the technical concepts involved in its implementation and/or editorial experience, highly desired. Solutions based/project management experience a plus. Must be a life-long learner and able to work independently as well as part of a diverse team. Must demonstrate the ability to meet strict deadlines and think creatively about using technology to meet the needs of students, employers and other constituents served by our teams. Graduate degree in systems administration, communications or information technology a plus. Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment. Required Competencies Experience working in or demonstrated understanding of the characteristics of antiracist institutions. Demonstrated experience working successfully with students of diverse races, religions, orientations, abilities, cultural backgrounds, etc. Proficiency using Symplicity, and familiarity with FloRecruit, CampusGroups, or similar student success and recruiting platforms. Superior oral and written communication skills. Competency in user experience design for web platforms. Experience managing resources and working with technology vendors. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive and highly confidential information. Knowledge of or strong interest in understanding compliance standards related to Recruiting and student engagement in the law school context. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated capacity to meaningfully interact with diverse, multi-generational constituents. Affinity for collaboration and ability to work well across all levels of an organization. Ability to multitask and be part of a collegial team, and maintain calm under pressure while balancing competing tasks with tight deadlines. Organizational and analytical skills and the ability to synthesize and meaningfully evaluate data.
