XANDR INC. Software Engineer II in NEW YORK, New York

Software Engineer II needed by Xandr Inc. in New York, NY to process and ensure Service Delivery Agreements for Client Reporting. Work with team to continually tune and optimize processing to greater and greater levels of efficiency to cope with the continuous growth of the internet landscape. Apply experience in developing/performance tuning, large scale data pipelines. Design and implement new features and enhancements to our data platform in an intelligent fashion that advances component architecture toward strategic data governance/management objectives. Work with world class high frequency/low latency design experts to perform in-depth analysis and optimization of data pipeline components to ensure smooth execution within strict time and resource limitations. Work closely with product stakeholders and users to understand data and reporting requirements. Prioritize bug fixes to ensure critical up-time to meet stringent business SLAs. Work in distributed computing. Apply experience in Agile development process and Object Oriented Programming Concepts and Design Patterns. Write JUnit test cases for unit testing developed modules to showcase they align with expected business logic. Replicate billing and reporting business logic for ad transaction in Java MapReduce jobs onto Ab initio data processing platform. Use Apache Hadoop Big Data frameworks and tools like Apache MapReduce, HDFS, Hue, Apache Hive, Presto and Apache Spark. Perform programming in Java, Scala, SQL, HiveQL, and Shell Scripting (Bash). Use Big Data Processing Enterprise Software, like Ab initio. Use SBT, Maven, Jenkins, Git, YARN, Job Schedulers, and OpsGenie. Use Apache HBase, MySql, Vertica, and Google’s Protocol buffers. Work in Linux, Solaris Unix, and Windows Operating Systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Information Technology and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience using Agile development process and Object Oriented Programming Concepts and Design Patterns; working with scalable distributed data pipelines and its performance tuning; working in distributed computing; using Java, Scala, Apache MapReduce, HDFS, Hue, Apache Hive, Presto, Apache Spark, SQL, HiveQL, Shell Scripting (Bash), Ab initio, SBT, Maven, Junit, Jenkins, Git, YARN, Job Schedulers, OpsGenie, Apache HBase, MySql, Vertica, and Google’s Protocol buffers. Working in Linux, Solaris Unix, and Windows Operating Systems.
