The Team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the PVR Sales Team, a dynamic team focused on growing the PVR business including Fixed Income Pricing and Reference Data, Derivatives Data and Valuation and Private Asset Valuation services.

The PVR Sales Team are supported by our business development team who help to provide deep subject matter expertise to support renewal and new business conversations. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Leads new business sales and retention across Pricing, Valuations and Reference Data business

  • Independently set successful go to market specialized strategies, driving growth by partnering across divisions and functions

  • Establish clear retention and growth goals to expand our client base with systematic progress review

  • Identifies and qualifies new opportunities across Pricing, Valuations and Reference Data

  • Engages with prospects, collecting requirements and aligning with existing solutions

  • Builds relationships with prospects to understand their business requirements

  • Communicates with prospects and internal stakeholder’s through-out the sales lifecycle, escalating issues where appropriate

  • Works with legal and sales management to accurately deliver proposals and contracts

  • Negotiates with prospects to close high value deals

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Collaborate with the Account Management team to build and maintain C-level client relationships across existing and new markets and territories

Compensation/Benefits Information : (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $121,757 to $244,700. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual sales commission plan. incentive plan.

What W e’re L ooking F or:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills. Confidence in meetings, presentations and dealing with prospects and customers over the phone or in person 

  • Creative thinking and problem solving to drive solutions that address client needs

  • Collaboration with sales teams and other stakeholders across Pricing, Valuations and Reference Data and across Market Intelligence to identify and drive synergy and cross sell opportunities 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline 

  • 7 years experience in sales role, preferably in financial services

  • Highly proficient in MS Office
