The University Registrarâ™s Office is responsible for the planning and management of registration activities for all divisions and programs of the University, with over 10,000 degree students and 3,000 continuing education students. The Senior Assistant University Registrar reports to the University Registrar and will serve as a member of the leadership team of the Registrarâ™s Office. The Senior Assistant University Registrar will work closely with the University Registrar and with partners within the colleges, Student Accounts, Student and Academic Systems, and Human Resources, among others. The Senior Assistant University Registrar will lead efforts to improve student services, develop student-centric approaches to processes, ensure consistency of policy enforcement, ensure data integrity, and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.  This position will support all registrar functions related to pre-college and continuing education. This individual will be responsible for the areas of registration, records management, scheduling and conferral for all students in The New Schoolâ™s current pre-college and continuing education courses and programs and any future dual enrollment programs. As part of the leadership team, the Assistant University Registrar will also collaborate with the University Registrar in strategic planning. This position requires excellent organizational skills; as well as versatility, flexibility, and problem-solving ability. It requires a combination of regulatory knowledge and the understanding of business needs and the systems that support those needs. As a member of AACRAO, the coordinator will participate in professional activities and connect with peers at other institutions, to remain current on relevant topics, regulations, and best practices. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who share our commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community. RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and develop all aspects of centralized pre-college and continuing education registrar services. This includes building the academic calendar, creating and scheduling courses, student enrollment, transcript generation, degree conferral, registration, and reporting. Serve as liaison from the University Registrarâ™s Office for all centralized pre-college and continuing education operations. Responsible for developing and executing process improvements within the continuing education registrar related functions. Assisting with testing upgrades in DestinyOne, Banner, Slate, and Perceptive. Assist students, unit staff, and other constituents troubleshoot issues. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelorâ™s degree required. Minimum 3-4 years of progressive administrative experience. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse constituents. Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to manage expectations and needs of the customer base with professionalism. Experienced analytical and creative thinker. Must possess the ability to creatively problem solve; maintain curiosity; and demonstrate empathy. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and Google Suite. A commitment to equity, inclusion and social justice, and evidence of engagement in this space. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masterâ™s degree preferred. Experience with Ellucian Banner, Slate, Tableau, DegreeWorks, Perceptive, DestinyOne, Axiom. WORK MODE Hybrid - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice.
