About the Role:

The Team:

S&P Global Securitized Products Pricing group provides independent evaluated pricing across Non-agency RMBS, Agency CMOs, Agency Pass-throughs, Consumer ABS, CMBS, European ABS, CDOs and CLOs. S&P Global services are used by key financial institutions to help them optimize their price verification, audit, and risk management processes. The group is based in New York with teams in London and Noida, India.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Evaluate Securitized Products: Conduct daily pricing and evaluation of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) and potentially expand coverage to other sectors such as mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS).

Model Development and Enhancement: Collaborate with quantitative teams to develop and enhance pricing models, ensuring they reflect market conditions accurately and are updated regularly for better predictive accuracy.

Automation and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline evaluation processes through automation, with a focus on improving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. This will include automating data ingestion, pricing workflows, and report generation.

Quality Control: Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the accuracy of pricing, reducing errors and maintaining high standards for all evaluation outputs.

Market Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, changes in securitized products, and fixed-income markets, ensuring pricing models reflect current and emerging market conditions.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams (business analysts, development, etc.) and external clients to understand needs, improve product offerings, and ensure pricing models meet stakeholder expectations.

Cross-Product Involvement: Over time, take on evaluation responsibilities across other Securitized Products sectors, including Corporate and Municipal bonds, Credit Default Swaps (CDS), and Syndicated Loans.

Business Efficiency: Drive significant improvements in pricing workflows through automation, reducing manual efforts and speeding up the overall process.

Model Accuracy and Innovation: Enhance the quality and reliability of pricing models, leading to more accurate valuations and better risk assessment. This innovation will help position the business as a leader in the Securitized Products market.

Client Satisfaction: Ensure high-quality pricing and evaluation outputs, boosting trust with internal teams and external clients.

Broader Market Influence: Expand coverage beyond CLOs into other sectors of the Securitized Products market, contributing to the growth and diversification of the business's market influence.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $48,508.00 to $82,402.00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Heavy lifting on the client challenge front.

  • Utilize market color and information from S&P Parsing to better our pricing offering and accurately reflect changes in the market by editing assumptions and refining inputs.

  • Adjust daily pricing assumptions to reflect security performance in current market conditions.

  • Evaluate and generate cash flows and prices of Agency Pools on a daily basis using internal and industry tools.

  • Conceptualize changes to workflow process including challenges and pricing to enhance quality and improve efficiency.

  • Work with the development team to build out and improve daily processes and enhance internal systems.

  • Automate processes, design reports and write querying logic to provide insight, transparency and efficiency to the valuations business.

  • Assess relative value for securities by analyzing collateral market trends, prepayments, defaults, severity, variability in bond cashflows, and comparisons with other markets.

  • Handle customer queries on pricing, methodology and other related matters. Client relationship building will be key. Enhanced engagement across all client touch points.

  • Work within Securitized Products and the broader organization to effect change and identify opportunities to grow the business. (Special focus on Sales and Bus Dev)

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • University Degree (minimum Bachelor) in Financial Engineering / Finance / Economics / Mathematics / Computer Science

  • 1-3 years’ experience within securitized products strongly preferred

  • Understanding of financial markets, knowledge of and exposure to Fixed Income products

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.

  • Must be proficient in Excel.

  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and other programming languages advantageous

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with teams, senior members of the organization and clients.
