Rudin Associate Dean for Research - Bellevue School of Nursing (Brookdale Campus) POSITION DETAILS The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York (CUNY) and prepares collaborative nurse leaders who practice in diverse communities with complex needs. The School of Nursing invites innovative and visionary nurse researchers to apply for the Rudin Associate Dean for Research position. The Rudin Associate Dean for Research will oversee all aspects of the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing research enterprise, provide oversight for the PhD in Nursing Program in collaboration with the PhD Program Director, mentor faculty and students in their research and scholarship, maintain their own active program of externally funded research, and provide guest lectures. The Rudin Associate Dean for Research will manage the research budget and grants administration in collaboration with the Hunter College and School of Nursing financial teams. This position includes responsibility for committee, administrative, supervisory, and/or other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS This position is in the CUNY Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor?s degree and eight years of related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College. Ph.D. or other research doctoral degree in nursing or related field.If earned doctorate is not in nursing, must have a master?s degree in nursing. The successful candidate willhave: 1) an active, sustained program of research that makes outstanding contributions to nursing; 2) a proven track record of externally funded grants, scholarly publications, and national/international presentations; and 3) nationally recognized leadership in the field. We are particularly interested in candidates whose program of research focuses on health equity, adult/gerontology, psychiatric mental health, and/or is based in the community.Prefer research and/or practice experience addressing the needs of under resourced communities. New York State license as a registered nurse required. Prefer New York State advanced practice licensure (adult/gerontology, family, or psychiatric mental health). Will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, expertise in mentoring faculty and students, and exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. CUNY TITLE Associate Dean COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary range $150,000 to $217, 232 with the potential for supplemental salary, research, and/or professional funds commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
