LSEG Retail Wealth Segment Index Senior Marketing Manager in New York, New York

Role Profile Investment Solutions (IS) Marketing is a component of the London Stock Exchange Group’s Global Communications & Marketing function. Investment Solutions is one of five business segments with the Data and Analytics Division. The IS segment includes the key brand, FTSE Russell, a leading global provider of indexes, data and analytics.

The Retail Wealth Segment Index Marketing function will be a key role delivering Investment Solutions’ marketing objective in the Global Marketing team. Wealth marketing will be a client-facing function serving B2B2C direct/indirect clients and intermediaries including RIAs, advisory firms, wealth managers, home offices of national wirehouses, robo advisors, retail brokerage firms, and to some extent end-users of index-linked products.

The Retail Wealth Segment Index Marketing Manager will work with our internal stakeholders (Wealth and ETF sales/account management, Wealth product management, product marketing, activation & digital marketing, brand/content, PR, applied research) as well as with the marketing teams of some external wealth/advisory/brokerage client accounts, to develop, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns.

Strategic Responsibilities The Retail Wealth Segment Index Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for the delivery and execution of marketing activities associated with the Wealth segment target, primarily in the North America region. The role will be instrumental in raising awareness of FTSE Russell’s index component embedded into our clients’ index-linked investment products, in developing a preference for FTSE Russell indexes, in contributing to growing assets under management and in increasing revenues.

In particular, the Retail Wealth Segment Index Marketing Manager will: Develop segment focused messaging and positioning for FTSE Russell comprehensive index offering to support partners (e.g., ETF issuers, brokerages) in driving index adoption among financial advisors, build segment focused marketing programs to drive awareness and consideration for FTSE Russell indexes, lead solution marketing for Direct Indexing proposition and be responsible for the launch of new solutions, contribute to the segment focused go-to-market plan.

He/she/they will be using tools from the marketing mix and successfully partner with our key functions across the global marketing team and North America stakeholders to execute these marketing programs. He/she/they will seize opportunities like product launches, benchmark switches, industry and market events to plan/execution and enable regional sales teams.

The Retail Wealth Index Marketing Manager will be instrumental in bringing to life FTSE Russell's IP component (an index or data) that is embedded inside our partners' investment products (ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs/UMAs, derivatives) by: Partner with content teams to develop segment specific sales enablement for leading index product lines, Working with our applied research to influence the thought-leadership agenda that will support marketing programs and new product launches, coordinating with content team on topical and segment focused coverage of key product lines, Partnering with the digital marketing team to maintain all web page copy – index family and promotional pages – to reflect evolving service expansion and updated positioning/messaging, partnering with agencies and internal teams to execute programs through media partners and promotion on social channels, coordinating PR coverage where relevant for launches or other major events (e.g. index rebalancing), Organizing webinars to promote both existing and new product launches.

Key Behaviours and Skills 5-10 years of marketing experience in a B2B (or B2B2C) environment (indexation, exchanges, fund management, ETFs, wire house, brokerage or wealth management an advantage) Commercially minded, focused on ensuring the marketing programs have a material business impact and deep experience working with sales management and sellers to realize commercial ambition Demonstrated experiencing effectively influencing both business and marketing stakeholders simultaneously to achieve desired marketing and business outcomes Ability to persevere through a period of change and some levels of ambiguity as the LSEG marketing team is integrated into one central function Good knowledge of the wealth management segment and/or ETF and/or fund management Strong planning and project management skills Excellent relationship management, presentation and communication skills Knowledge of the full marketing mix Desire to learn about product/usage of indexes for asset management purposes Degree level education
