Position Summary The Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health seeks a Research Coordinator to work with the Vice Chair, Dr. Virginia Rauh, and with the VIBE Research Lab?s (enVironmental Impact on Birth Equity) within the Department of Epidemiology led by Dr. Teresa Janevic. Reporting to the Vice Chair of the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health (HDPFH), the Research Coordinator will work with an interdisciplinary team of neurologists, neuropsychologists, and epidemiologists on studies of environmental exposures and neurodegenerative disease. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of data collection, data analysis and report/manuscript preparation, including literature reviews and reference management. In addition, the incumbent will manage and maintain well-organized data sets and distribute as needed to the research team and coordinate all research team meetings. Working closely with Dr. Janevic and Francis Howell in the Department of Epidemiology, the Research Coordinator will work in the VIBE Research Lab on two NIH mixed methods studies related to maternal health and equity. The incumbent will support the qualitative aspects of the studies and will assist with participant recruitment and enrollment, schedule interviews, conduct interviews with Spanish-speaking participants, conduct literature reviews on relevant topics, participate in qualitative coding and manuscript writing, and other related projects and duties as needed. In addition, she will maintain recruitment databases and transcript file systems. Responsibilities Research activities with HDPFH Vice Chair (60%): Coordinate all activities related to the stages of data analysis, including dissemination of data sets to members of the research team and organization of analytic results for discussion at regular team meetings. Oversee IRB protocols. Participate in the selection of neuropsychological tests for future research. Contribute to manuscript preparation and submissions, including literature reviews and references. Participate in the preparation and submission of new grant proposals. Perform other related duties as assigned. VIBE Research Lab (40%): Participant recruitment and enrollment. Conducting qualitative interviews and data collection. Assist with qualitative coding and data analysis. Assist with manuscript preparation. Literature reviews. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience; plus three years related experience. Strong writing and computer skills. Must be bilingual and proficient in speaking Spanish and English. Possess a high level of initiative, willingness to learn new research skills, clear communication skills, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be flexible to the evolving needs of several perinatal and maternal health equity projects. Preferred Qualifications Some data management experience. Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with qualitative research methods and analysis are strongly preferred.
