The Swallow Research Lab at NYU is hiring a part-time speech language pathologist to assist with biomechanical analysis of swallowing data on modified barium swallow studies and manage ongoing research projects. The incumbent will work under the supervision of Sonja Molfenter, Associate Professor in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at NYU Steinhardt. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Using ImageJ software to measure biomechanical aspects of swallowing on radiographic imaging including pharyngeal kinematics · Maintaining database and complying with IRB protocols This is a ten-months appointment with the possibility of renewal, contingent on availability of funds. The job duties for this position can be conducted remotely. In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary range for this position is $26 to $45. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in Speech Language Pathology Must have completed the student training version of the Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile with at least 70% mastery. At least one year of previous research experience measuring swallowing physiology.
