Regional Office Support Specialist
We are seeking aRegional Office Support Specialistto join our New York office. As an on-site IT support specialist, you will provide excellent technical support and troubleshooting for our staff and attorneys with issues relating to software, hardware, and desktop operating systems. Additional Responsibilities Include:
Provide IT support for the office by providing direct end user support. Work as the “eyes and hands” to all other departments within the Information Services group.
Move, configure, install and test hardware to ensure basic functionality of desktop computers, check-out laptops, printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals.
Manage short term “loaner” equipment assignment.
Assist in administering regional print servers, which includes but is not limited to printer related setup, and configuration.
Configure, deploy, reimage and troubleshoot a variety of software using Ghost.
Configure, deploy and troubleshoot a variety of mobile devices including, iPhones, iPads and Android devices. Install and configure MobileIron MDM client and RSA tokens.
Install, configure and provide troubleshooting on remote connection devices and services including Citrix, Cisco VPN, Outlook Web Access, and Exchange Web Services.
Organize and maintain the server room to be clear of access inventory, cabling, and verify any new cabling is installed with Dorsey wiring protocol.
Understand firm-wide escalation rules, procedures and staffing for support incidents, and escalate accordingly.
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory/asset control for all equipment, accessories, etc.
Log all support incidents and user log requests results in HEAT tracking system on a timely basis, and use the system to track all unclosed issues. Follow up to ensure final resolution.
Perform periodic hardware and operating system maintenance checks and repairs, including reimaging of machines.
Move, pack and ship computers, printers and peripherals to users in local, regional office, and remote and client locations.
Dispose of computers, printers and peripherals in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner, consistent with department practice and firm policy.
Set up fixed room video and audio conferencing equipment (Tanberg endpoints). Set up for presentations and events. Troubleshoot desktop video conferencing (Zoom.) Facilitate client visits.
May be requested to perform other duties not listed above, including, and not limited to, travel to other Dorsey offices.
What we’re looking for:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Highly motivated and possess the ability to relate to all levels of firm personnel.
Ability to solve problems, manage tasks, and balance priorities.
Responsible, mature, and professional.
Ability to work in a high stress environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate with a variety of people.
Experience in a customer service related field.
Affinity with new technologies of all types including sound, video, camera, cabling, and wireless.
Physical strength and agility to permit the full performance of the duties of the position, including frequent bending, walking and lifting up to approximately 75 pounds.
Strong work ethic and motivated to be available via multiple avenues of communication including phone, e-mail, instant messaging, and cell phone.
Preferred:
At least 2 years of experience supporting Windows 10 operating system, Intel-based computers, familiarity with Mac OS, Android and iOS, Microsoft Office Suite 2016, or be an MCSE with strong knowledge of both hardware and software setups. A+ hardware and software desirable.
Experience supporting Lenovo laptops and desktops.
At least 2 years of experience working in a law firm or other professional services organization.

The pay range for this position in New York City only is $37.53 to $45.87 per hour.
