Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Temporary End Date if Temporary: 6/30/2023 Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience Position Summary Columbia University Facilities and Operations Human Resources office is searching for a Recruitment Specialist to assist the department with recruitment efforts. Responsibilities The position serves to work with senior members in the Human Resources CUFO group to develop a proactive and steady pipeline of qualified and diverse talent for open positions through successful implementation of candidate sourcing strategies; maintain up to date and accurate reports on the recruitment and onboarding process. The successful candidate will recommend and implement process improvements within current recruitment practices and have the ability to source a high volume of roles for a diversified group of hiring managers. In addition, the individual will work closely with CUFO HR and other University groups to coordinate hiring events, including job fairs and other organized recruiting initiatives. They will be assigned by the Assistant Director to work directly with hiring managers to provide guidance during the hiring and recruitment process. The Recruitment Specialist will develop a strong, consultative partnership with hiring managers, clearly communicating throughout the search and interview process; conduct pre-screening phone interviews to assess candidates for required skill set and competencies for current & future positions and maintains communication throughout the entire recruitment process and serve as the primary point of contact. The individual will also perform other duties and projects as assigned. This is a 9 month position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum of two years related recruitment experience required. Must possess strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office product. Hands-on experience with various recruitment platforms and applicant tracking systems required. Demonstrated knowledge of the latest sourcing techniques via social media and professional websites required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion. Must possess excellent communication and written skills with strong stakeholder management and ability to build strong relationships skills required. Qualified applicants should have strong attention to detail, a commitment to work as a professional cohesive team member and the ability to prioritize multiple demands.
