Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $63,700 - $72,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary We seek a dynamic, energetic Project Coordinator II to support the planning and implementation of quantitative data for an NIH-funded study investigating ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) relating to the inclusion of people with disabilities in precision medicine research. Working directly with the lead researcher, the Project Coordinator will support all aspects of this project, including conducting literature reviews, quantitative data collection and analyses, and assisting with professional presentations and manuscript preparation. The ideal candidate has prior experience in quantitative research, a background in public health or social sciences scholarship, and an interest in disability studies. This position will be at the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY. Responsibilities Conduct academic literature reviews relevant to the study. Support all aspects of data analyses, including data management, data cleaning, analysis of survey responses, and manuscript preparation. Communicate and coordinate work with researchers, collaborators, and research staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus three years of related experience Ability to work well independently, complete assignments in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines. Demonstrated interest in social sciences research, ELSI research, and/or disability studies. Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills. Comfortable with research technologies and online platforms for research. Ability to pay close attention to detail and learn new skills (e.g., disability accessibility). Preferred Qualifications At least one year of related experience, especially in conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses. Familiarity with disability studies and/or ELSI research. Applicants with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply.
