The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This is a nine-month, grant-funded position with the possibility of extension if additional funding is secured. Position Summary The Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change educates leaders to use business knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and management tools to address social and environmental challenges. The Institute?s Inclusive Entrepreneurship initiative creates venture ecosystems within local communities through bridging social, digital, and economic divides. This initiative also encompasses work under the ReEntry Acceleration Program (REAP), Justice Through Code (JTC), and Startup Works which focuses on justice involved startup team formation. Justice Through Code (JTC) is a joint initiative of the Center for Justice and the Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change, that provides life-changing access to career-track technology opportunities for people impacted by the mass incarceration crisis. JTC has a mandate to pursue scalable strategies to increase the talent drawn from underserved communities. Reporting to the Director of Outcomes, the Program Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of policies, planning models, and programmatic and operational functions of JTC programs. Working collaboratively with faculty and staff within and across schools, and internal and external partners and stakeholders, they manage processes to achieve operational objectives to ensure the highest degree of service for participants. This is a nine-month, grant-funded position with the possibility of extension if additional funding is secured. Responsibilities Manage the development, and implementation of JTC programs (The Foundation, Pathways, and The Flagship), working closely with the JTC team and university partners, to maintain high levels of quality and scale program impact. Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure effective operations and communications for all programs. Design and implement systems to streamline student and internal processes, enhancing service delivery for all stakeholders. Manage recruitment of Teaching/Research Assistants, casual student workers, guest speakers, volunteers, and instructors, including outreach strategies, coordination with HR on hiring, and onboarding. Develop resources to scale this function effectively as JTC grows. Oversee student onboarding and orientation workflows, ensuring scalability to serve thousands of students annually. Support content development, delivery, and evaluation for synchronous and asynchronous learning. Moderate student events and sessions as needed. Collaborate with the JTC team to collect, analyze, and report on student engagement, assignments, and outcomes using CRM, data analysis tools, and surveys. Use insights to inform program strategies and enhancements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key University partners to leverage resources and coordinate access to campus resources. Organize internal and external program-related events for JTC participants. Liaise with external partners and employers to create placement opportunities for graduates. Collaborate with other staff to manage JTC financial transactions, including reimbursements, vendor procurement, payments, and financial tracking and reporting. Other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, education, or a related field. Deep commitment to social impact, particularly supporting formerly incarcerated individuals through education and career opportunities. Strong execution and teamwork skills with a service mindset. Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with ambiguity and the capacity to achieve results under pressure. Outstanding organizational, management and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM platforms, and other relevant software (Canva, PowerPoint, Zoom). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of fair chance hiring and careers in the tech sector. Familiarity with educational content delivery platforms such as Canvas. Experience working with rotating instructors and Teaching/Research Assistants in an academic environment.
