Program Administrator BMRI/WCGS Title: Program Administrator BMRI/WCGS Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Center of Neurogenetics Work Days: Monday-Friday Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $81,900.00 - $94,600.00 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary This role's responsibilities include recruitment for the MS graduate program, communications, onboarding and student scheduling (rotations) and assistance to the Chair and Program Director of the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Program (MSGC), along with other assigned projects related to the graduate education programs through the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Job Responsibilities Oversees daily operations of the MSGC graduate program Establishes and implements strategy surrounding admission to the MS program, acceptance rate, and yield rate across all applications. Processes all applicant information, interviews, admissions, and recruitment procedures. Operates annual recruitment events, student and faculty retreat(s) and institutional training grant applications. Advertises milestones, achievements, and thesis defense of current students. Meets with students to discuss clinical rotation sites, fieldwork placements and scheduling of oral thesis defense. This is in addition to periodic progress meetings with program leadership and student Thesis committees. Tracks completion of graduate school requirements. Facilitates review meetings and records of student grade and evaluations. Organizes financial affairs of Graduate program; develops and implements budget forecasting and procedures for departmental and program accounts. Processes check requisitions for reimbursement of expenses incurred by program Faculty and/or students. Processes the nomination and application of new faculty members to membership within the Graduate Program. Collects and synthesizes data for program reports required by the Graduate School Dean. Leads all facets of billing revenue cycle processes for the MS program. Responsible for updating changes to fee schedules annually and as needed. Oversees the operations of billing. Processes reimbursements/honorariums for course directors, guest lecturers and fieldwork supervisors Updates MSGC website, keeping in line with ACGC requirements. Manages operation of the SLATE platform for admissions and coordination of individual student progress information from the Typhon platform used by the MSGC program. Tracks completion and logbook cases in Typhon and ensure students are on track to graduate (meeting the required number of logged cases across specialties) Cross-trains with management of the PhD training program in Neuroscience to assist in needed administrative coverage. Education Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree preferred Experience Minimum 2 years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications. Proficiency with Drupal or other website platforms. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Advanced ability to effectively multi-task to serve the various projects and situations. Ability to organize and implement both short and long term projects. Must work independently, making logistical decisions on a daily basis for the operation of these training programs, including budget management.
