HERC: Metro New York & Southern Connecticut Postdoctoral Positions in Chemical Biology, Biophysics, and Spectroscopy (Saurabh Lab) in New York, New York

The Saurabh Lab at NYU is seeking multiple highly motivated and independent postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic and interdisciplinary team. Our lab focuses on cutting-edge research at the intersection of biophysics, chemical biology, and super-resolution microscopy, with a specific emphasis on understanding mechanisms underlying biomolecular self-organization and activity in the context of host-microbe interactions. Responsibilities: Lead innovative research projects with a high degree of independence. Design and perform experiments using advanced biophysical and chemical biology techniques. Analyze and interpret complex datasets, contributing to the publication of high-impact research papers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to lab meetings, grant writing, and mentoring junior researchers. The terms of employment are for one year, with a possibility of renewal, including a competitive salary and other benefits . Subsidized housing within walking distance of the laboratory may be offered, depending on availability. In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, this position's annual base salary range is $62,500 ? $67,306. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Key Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemical Biology, Biophysics, Physical Chemistry, Biophotonics, or a related field. Strong expertise in fluorescence spectroscopy, biophotonics, and advanced microscopy techniques. Demonstrated ability to think independently, solve complex problems, and drive research projects to completion. A strong publication record that showcases your contributions to scientific research. Strong grant writing skills demonstrated by successful applications or contributions to collaborative funding efforts. Preferred Skills: Experience with super-resolution microscopy, fluorescence techniques, and structural biology. Familiarity with bacterial systems and an interest in studying molecular mechanisms of localization. A collaborative mindset and effective communication skills.
