U.S. Bank is currently searching for a Portfolio Manager to join the Securities Industry and Investment Management (SIIM) Division, a specialty industry division with USB’s Financial Institutions Group.
The Portfolio Manager partners with Relationship Managers to successfully manage a portfolio of Corporate Banking credit relationships for the SIIM. You will contribute to revenue growth as directed by senior management by successfully closing new business relationships and retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Primary accountabilities include:
underwriting all types of credit account exposure
managing an assigned credit portfolio
successfully closing new business relationships and expanding existing relationships
managing credit risk and responding to prospect or customer credit questions and making independent calls on assigned portfolio of relationships
participating in joint sales calls with Relationship Managers and identifying customer needs.
At this level, you will develop into a subject matter expert while leveraging your educational background and financial industry knowledge/experience in collaboration with industry experts. You will also participate in client meetings and presentations, identify needs and business opportunities, and recommend appropriate solutions for U.S. Bank customers.
We offer a hybrid work week and this position will be located in the NYC office.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Four to six years of relevant experience
Thorough knowledge of commercial/corporate lending and credit standards, policies, procedures and products
Credit underwriting experience
Strong relationship management and business development skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
