Operations Administrator US-NY-New York Job ID: 2021-8934 Type: Office of the Vice Chancellor, University Life and Global Programs (WS1024) # of Openings: 1 Category: General Office Administration New York University Overview The NYU Production Lab is seeking an Operations Administrator to oversee day-to-day operations at the Production Lab, a 3,400 sq. foot creative content and career development incubator space that serves NYU’s creative storytelling community. The Operations Administrator will ensure the Lab’s visiting students, faculty, and guests (an average of 1,000 visits each month) have an optimal experience and uninhibited access to resources provided at the Lab and is a key member of the Production Lab’s team ensuring that a range of critical operational functions and processes are administered in a timely and effective manner. This work includes event and space planning management, initiating, tracking and executing fiscal transactions, creating related promotional materials, maintaining the Production Lab’s website, tracking key performance indicators, maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and other related administrative duties. Responsibilities Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management or Entertainment Business or Media and Culture. Required Experience: 2+ years of experience in either academic administration or operations, as an executive assistant in the media/entertainment industry or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working and communicating with a variety of stakeholders is essential, in addition to basic data analytic and presentation experience. Preferred Experience: 1+ years in operations management and/or digital & email marketing Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Project management (ideally at the intersection of commerce and the arts); knowledge of emerging media platforms; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience working with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students. Proven ability to create and implement a variety of operational guidelines to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels. Strong presentation skills and creative command of commercial audio/visual hardware and software including iOS platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
