IT Academic Technology Coordinator POSITION DETAILS ?At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone?s responsibility? This position reports to IT Manager for the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences. In addition to the CUNY title overview, responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Will provide in-person support to faculty, students and staff on various cyber-security issues. Assists faculty, students and staff, with use of cyber-security tools and techniques to support educational and institutional goals. As part of the Weissman IT team, the IT Academic Technology Coordinator will conduct assessment of end-point vulnerabilities and perform work to remediate issues. May conduct research to help develop base images for various endpoint environments. Assists in upgrade, deployment, and repair of computing devices (hardware and software) including computer lab workstations Assists in operating system installation and its applications Assists in resolution of all IT-related issues within WSAS Work with BCTC staff to evaluate technology issues/concerns and enforce technology policies. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work with wide range of people; possess excellent customer service skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues Possesses good computer skills both in Windows & Mac OS Ability to prioritize a number of tasks Possesses effective written and oral communication skills CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs. Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions Maintains on-line information on web sites Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals Performs other duties as assigned.
