IT Academic Technology Coordinator POSITION DETAILS The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY SoM) at The City College of New York (CCNY) located in the heart of Harlem, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, we transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine in 2017. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master?s Degree (27 months program). Reporting to the Director of Educational technology, the IT Academic Technology Coordinator is responsible for supporting faculty, staff, students with professional services on behalf of the CUNY School of Medicine. The IT Academic Technology Coordinator will perform technical, routine task involving transporting, setting up, and operating audio-visual equipment, such as laptops, projectors, audio and video recorders, video cameras, and portable public address systems. In addition to the CUNY School of Medicine Overview duties, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Format and post lecture recordings to the LMS Collaborate with staff to develop and execute task accordingly Diagnose and resolve media system problems under supervision Train faculty, staff, and students on equipment setup and usage Maintain and monitor multimedia equipment/inventory; monitor online events calendar Setup and operate lecture capture equipment; manage Zoom/Teams/WebEX conference meetings; record, edits, and uploads content to internal programs Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of audio and video equipment Support the creation and maintenance of multimedia communications. Collaborate with internal personnel to develop multimedia concepts to communicate key messages Assist with pre-production, production and post-production activities Perform related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs. Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions Maintains on-line information on web sites Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals Performs other duties as assigned.
