Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: Position Summary CUIMC Controller's Office is seeking two Internal Control Analysts. Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager of Internal Controls and Compliance: Perform periodic reviews for compliance of Columbia University Irving Medical Center policies, i.e. petty cash, Pcard reviews Support review of system access request to determine appropriateness Assist in the annual recertification of access Work with University employees and non-employees to determine any system access issues to resolution Must have an understanding of internal control. Prepare management reports as required. Special projects as required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required plus 4 years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance, Minimum 2 to 4 years relevant work experience in internal audit/external audit/accounting. Other Requirements Strong understanding of GAAP, Auditing Standards and COSO. Strong writing and communications skills. Proven success in teamwork environment. Ability to drive change in the organization that will conform to internal control plan. Must be self-motivated with strong project management skills. The individual should possess the following competencies: Effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. Effective critical thinking and applied learning skills. Effective project management and time management skills. Adaptability and ability to deal with change. Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Strong attention to detail. Excellent computer skills, including MS Office; Visio a plus. Good working knowledge of PeopleSoft and familiar with PeopleSoft system security modules.
