Job: Graduate Research Assistant Job Summary: The GRA will work with me this summer to collect and analyze data for the final year of the Teaching Experiences for Undergraduates Program. Job Description: Conducting library research and drafting a literature review. Collecting data through a variety of research methods including surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, observations, or other project specific methods. Analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data. Scheduling, organizing and reporting on the status of research activities. Writing and editing materials for dissemination (presentations and publications). Meeting regularly with Dr. Rivera to maintain ongoing communication regarding the progress of the research. Performing other related duties as needed. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements: Strong applicants will have a demonstrated interest in and experience with science or mathematics teaching or STEM teacher preparation, excellent writing and communication skills, and availability to travel to the research site at James Baldwin High School to observe the summer program (June 26-August 10, 2024). Applicants with interest in extending the pilot study into a larger dissertation project are especially encouraged to apply. Must be enrolled in or accepted to a graduate studies program. Hourly Rate: $25.00/hr The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
