The Financial Analyst role is a member of the Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team within Equitable Investment Management Group, LLC (“EIMG”). The individual interacts closely with the investments team and other key stakeholders, assisting with long term strategy for the group. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a high performance, fast paced environment and able to quickly develop strong working relationships within and outside the group.

A successful candidate will help to drive strong collaboration between EIMG and the Business and to improve efficiency and productivity of the organization; the individual will assist senior leaders to identify, evaluate, prioritize and deliver strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with EIMG strategic and tactical business plans to contribute to the group’s strategic objectives, while assessing impacts to key financial metrics

  • Helping to identify, assess, and evaluate business optimization opportunities

  • Assisting with the implementation of fund launches, mergers, and restructurings to optimize fund profitability

  • Contributing to regular discussions with the broker dealer related to the group’s model portfolios and retail mutual fund complex

  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting for EIMG’s Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team

  • Preparation of financial reporting for EIMG, including departmental budgets, internal trial balances, cash flows, and dividends to Equitable

  • Preparation of various management presentations and presentations to the independent Board of Trustees of the Funds, including the annual 15(c) contract renewal process

The base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $123,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting

  • 2 years of experience in a comparable business or finance role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CFA

  • Technical, analytical and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems and drive change

  • Ability to articulate complex topics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple priorities at once

  • Extremely proactive, anticipating needs and connecting the dots

  • Demonstrated strong relationship building skills at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust through interactions with others

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Financial Forecasting and Modeling : Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.
