Our Mission: We are seeking a visionary and experienced AI leader to spearhead the development and implementation of our comprehensive AI strategy. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI within our organization, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like cognitive and generative AI (GenAI) to drive innovation and solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the AI strategy:

  • Define the overall vision and roadmap for AI across the organization, incorporating both cognitive and GenAI technologies.

  • Identify key business problems and opportunities where AI can be applied effectively.

  • Prioritize and select projects that align with long-term business goals and deliver measurable value.

  • Design and build enterprise AI services:

  • Architect and lead the development of reusable AI services that can be leveraged by different business units across the organization.

  • Ensure these services are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to cloud-agnostic principles.

  • Oversee the implementation of these services in a production-ready environment for use by operational teams across the enterprise

  • Collaborate with different IT and business leaders to define AI product roadmaps

  • Lead and manage a team of AI engineers:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard talented AI engineers with expertise in various areas like machine learning, deep learning, Gen AI, computer vision and related technologies.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to foster a learning and growth environment for the team.

  • Delegate tasks effectively and empower the team to achieve their full potential.

  • Collaboration and communication:

  • Work closely with infrastructure, governance, security, and business leaders to ensure alignment between the AI strategy and overall business objectives.

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition and technical complexities of AI projects to diverse stakeholders.

  • Advocate for responsible AI practices and ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations.

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing AI projects in an enterprise setting with strong technical expertise in various AI disciplines such as machine learning, Gen AI, deep learning, natural language processing among others.

  • 10+ years of proven track record of successfully designing, building, and deploying enterprise solutions that deliver business impact.

  • 10+ years of experience with cloud-based deployment methodologies and familiarity with cloud-agnostic approaches.

  • 5+ years of managing product teams in an Agile setting

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a team of engineers.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, capable of building bridges and fostering communication across diverse teams.

  • Masters in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$175,100.00 - $334,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
