This individual will oversee office operations; develop and implement office policies and procedures; advise and interpret University policies to faculty and staff. Administer academic program activities; advise current and prospective undergraduate and graduate candidates on program requirements, courses, policies and procedures; monitor students' progress. Administer budget, including grant accounts; prepare annual and interim reports and make projections; supervise acquisition of capital and research materials; approve expenditures. Plan and implement events, seminars, colloquium, and special programs; supervise travel arrangements. Develop and maintain the department website. Responsibilities Required Education: Bachelor's degree and Required Experience: 2 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with staff supervision, budget administration, special events planning and implementation, and counseling and/or advising experience. Preferred Experience: Experience in an academic environment. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonnal, and communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications (e.g., HTML).
