Reporting to the Dean, the Special Projects Manager will play a pivotal role in managing initiatives and projects within the Dean?s Office. This position requires a dynamic individual who excels in project management, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and is capable of providing administrative coverage. Additionally, the Special Projects Manager will serve as a confidential assistant to the Dean, supporting various activities and initiatives as a key team member. Core responsibilities will include: Project Management: Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met effectively and efficiently. Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that may arise. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for the Dean and other stakeholders. Administrative Coverage: Provide administrative support as required to the Dean and Associate Deans, including but not limited to scheduling, correspondence, and document management. Assist in the coordination of meetings, events, and other activities. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Confidential Assistant to the Dean: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Dean, providing support on sensitive matters and strategic initiatives. Coordinate communication and information flow between the Dean and internal/external stakeholders. Assist in preparing materials for meetings, presentations, and other engagements. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to foster a collaborative and cohesive work environment. Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative activities. Share knowledge and best practices to contribute to the overall success of the organization. NOTE: Until further notice, work will be performed in a hybrid manner with 70% onsite presence. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in project management and administrative support, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high level of professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools/software. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. CUNY TITLE Higher Education Associate FLSA Exempt COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary range of $90,375 - $96,601commensurate with education and experience.
