Role Value Proposition:

Compliance Risk Management (“CRM”) delivers a compliance risk framework that enables the businesses and functions to comply with applicable internal and external rules and regulations and maintain risk levels within MetLife’s risk appetite. CRM provides constructive challenge to the businesses and functions, partnering closely with them to implement strong processes and effective controls, as well as to foster and embed a culture of compliance. CRM is part of Global Risk Management (“GRM”) and maintains a matrixed reporting line to Legal Affairs.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Head of Compliance Metrics, Reporting, & Emerging Risks, this role will provide coordination and management of global CRM reporting and data analytics initiatives. Candidates should be effective communicators, project managers and critical thinkers, who can support enterprise-wide efforts across multiple regions and divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and manage a portfolio of CRM reporting obligations, including supporting the process for preparing presentations for senior management, quarterly Compliance Risk Dashboards, regional State of Compliance presentations, and other ad hoc presentations

  • Partner with Compliance subject matter experts and first line business counterparts to identify, develop, and train relevant stakeholders on appropriate KRIs and other applicable risk-based indicators

  • Collaborate with broader team to integrate a data-driven risk-based approach to global reporting initiatives

  • Manage special projects as needed, coordinating with global stakeholders, tracking deliverables, and providing reporting to senior leadership

  • Demonstrate creative thinking and executional excellence that will include actively seeking out new, cutting-edge technology to further improve data analytics and reporting initiatives

  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset and propose enhancements to the compliance risk management framework, leveraging data and technology, informed by industry standards and best practices

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture that embraces change and succeeds through both collaboration and individual accountability

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management or audit

  • Extensive experience with creating and delivering senior management reporting and presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus across a broad and diverse group of global stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with competing deadlines

  • Intellectually curious, highly motivated, adaptable to change, and detail oriented

  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships across levels and regions, and adapt communication styles accordingly

Preferred:

  • PowerPoint and design experience

  • Prior project management-related role

  • Familiarity with data and analytics applications and methodologies

The wage range for applicants for this position who live in CO, CT, or RI is $125,000-$151,000. For any applicants in WA, NY, or NJ the wage range is $150,000-$174,000 This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
