Organization Overview The Rockefeller University Hospital is funded by the National Institutes of Health and has 20 patient beds for clinical research. The Hospital provides researchers with an opportunity to conduct clinical studies and offers both normal volunteers and people with diseases under study the opportunity to stay in the hospital and help to contribute to important advances in science. The Hospital has an inpatient unit as well as an outpatient center where prospective patients are screened,and many outpatient studies are conducted. The Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day with professional nurses and has nutritional research,social work,art and recreation departments,and a radiology suite,as well as its own research pharmacy. Our staff hospitalist and on-call physicians provide additional medical support to the clinical research teams. For more information,please see the hospital website at: http://www.rucares.org/ Overview The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is responsible for coordinating and carrying out assigned clinical research studies through development or updating protocols, procedures and standards for studies in collaboration with the research team. Teach research participants protocol specific information, reinforce compliance of protocol procedures and activities. Coordinate and instruct activities. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: providing research participant(s) protocol-specific information, reinforcing compliance with protocol procedures, collecting research data as required, and providing direct nursing care as needed; coordinating and instructing other health team members on research protocol-specific details; phlebotomy, collection and processing of specimens, procedure assistance, patient care; performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in nursing required Current New York State Registered Nursing License and a minimum of two years of hospital / direct patient care required. Must possess BCLS certification upon hiring and ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire. Must possess strong computer skills (electronic health record, Microsoft Office, etc...) Must be highly detail oriented and organized with a keen ability to manage multiple tasks. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Phlebotomy / IV certification highly desired. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Compensation Range: Min USD $100,000.00/Yr. Compensation Range: Max USD $110,000.00/Yr.
